General Description

Hittite's HMC6383 evaluation development kit is a set of high performance Hittite components configured as a multi-purpose receiver that can be used as a subsystem building block in numerous receiver applications. The receiver design demonstrates a common platform across various standards, jurisdictions, and bands of operation, and can be pre-programmed or field programmed to suit individual deployments. This highly configurable, high-performance solution significantly reduces cost and complexity of manufacturing, deploying, and supporting standard and region specific equipment.

The HMC6383 evaluation development kit includes a full software suite to control and configure all parts of the receiver. The flexible approach to the DCR enables the system designer to observe and understand effects and implications of component parameters on the overall system performance. Flexible hardware allows the designer to test and fine tune the system design using real-world signal input conditions and to compare measured results with expected performance. Data can be stored for further processing and analysis.

Market leading performance combined with a robust fully configurable design make the HMC6383 evaluation platform a logical starting point in designing a modular, highly-configurable, multi-purpose receiver module.
