12/31/2003 SiGe Prescaler Divides Input Frequencies From DC to 4 GHz

Hittite Microwave announces the release of the company's first standard product prescaler fabricated in SiGe. Complementing our extensive product line of MMIC frequency dividers and multipliers, this new Divide-by-4 Prescaler is characterized by low cost, low power consumption, and excellent phase noise, making it ideal for high volume synthesizer applications in DBS/CATV, WLAN, Fixed Wireless, WLL, Cellular/3G, Microwave Radio and VSAT.

12/26/2003 InGaP HBT High Speed Divider Family Accepts Inputs to 18 GHz

Hittite Microwave announces a family of new InGaP HBT MMIC prescalers which operate from DC (with a square wave input) to 18 GHz. The ultra low additive SSB Phase Noise, -151 dBc/Hz @ 100 kHz offset, make this family of dividers ideal for commercial PLL applications such as VSAT, point to point radio, fiber optic, and test equipment markets as well as military PLL systems.

12/19/2003 Hittite Introduces Cascadable SiGe Gain Block Amplifiers

Hittite announces the release of three new plastic packaged SiGe MMIC Gain Block Amplifiers which are ideal for wireless infrastructure/handhelds, test equipment, microwave radio and military COTS applications from DC to 6 GHz. The addition of this high linearity SiGe Gain Block product line complements the company's existing InGaP HBT Gain Blocks and Driver Amps while demonstrating Hittite's commitment to provide customers a one-stop source for all RF/microwave IC components.

12/15/2003 Low Noise, Wideband Direct Modulators Cover 250 MHz to 7 GHz!

Two new Wideband Direct Quadrature Modulators from Hittite Microwave offer a low cost, simplified alternative to double upconversion architectures. These SiGe based Direct Modulator RFICs support modulation bandwidths of DC to 250 MHz and can be used in radio designs addressing the Cellular/3G, WLAN, WLL, CATV, DBS and ISM bands as well as C-Band Microwave Radio.

12/05/2003 High Linearity LNAs & PAs add to Growing Line of 12- 32 GHz MMICs!

Hittite Microwave announces three new GaAs pHEMT Medium Power Amplifier die which complement our line of LNAs and PAs for the Point to Point, Point to Multipoint, VSAT, Military and Space markets. Each of these amplifiers feature fully matched (50 Ohm) RF ports and a +5V power supply, facilitating easy implementation in Multi-Chip-Module and subsystem applications. All products operate over the standard -55 to +85degC temperature range.

Hittite Microwave announces a new amplifier IC which offers high IP3 and high efficiency for Cellular/PCS/3G, WLL, ISM and Fixed Wireless applications from 400 ? 2500 MHz. Packaged in a low cost industry standard SOT89, the HMC454ST89 is a Form / Fit / Function alternative to competitor SOT89 amps.

Hittite Microwave has released a series of wideband MMIC Low Noise, Driver and Power Amplifier die products which cover Test Equipment, Military ECM/EW, Fiber Optic and Microwave Radio/VSAT applications from DC to 20 GHz. This family of four 50 Ohm GaAs PHEMT Distributed Amplifiers offers gain levels of 14 to 17dB, noise figure as low as 2dB and P1dB output power levels ranging from +12 to +26 dBm.

09/08/2003 New Phase/Frequency Detectors Improve PLL Phase Noise

Hittite Microwave has introduced two new HBT Digital Phase-Frequency Detectors (PFD) intended for use in low noise, Phase Lock Loop (PLL) applications for inputs from 10 to 1300 MHz. Synthesizer designers can choose either the HMC439QS16G single Function PFD or the HMC440QS16G PFD with an Integrated DC to 2800 MHz 5-Bit Counter. The counter offers continuous division from 2 to 32. Both products are housed in plastic SMT 16-lead QSOP packages that have an exposed base for excellent RF and thermal performance.

Hittite Microwave has updated the on-line S-parameter library for their Amplifier, Attenuator, Mixer/Converter and Switch products. RF/Microwave Designers will find it easy to include actual product performance into their simulations. Visitors to www.hittite.com can quickly scroll through and select any Hittite standard product part number of interest. A product summary table will appear that will give direct links to the S-parameter files as well as the data sheet .pdf file.

Hittite Microwave introduces a new low cost SPDT switch for use in transmit-receive applications requiring very low distortion at high signal power levels, up to 10 watts. Packaged in a SOT26, the HMC446 can control signals from 824-894 MHz and is especially suited for cellular booster, automotive telematic and mobile radio applications.

07/11/2003 MMIC VCO Line Expands!

Hittite announces the release of eight new MMIC Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) that cover wireless infrastructure, test equipment, microwave radio and military applications between 2 and 6.8 GHz. The addition of these VCOs complements the existing standard product line and expands it to cover from 2 to 15 GHz.

The newly released HMC380QS16G high linearity downconverter IC from Hittite Microwave is suitable for PCS/UMTS infrastructure applications from 1.7 to 2.2 GHz. The receiver IC contains a LO amplifier driving a passive mixer coupled to a high dynamic range IF amplifier to achieve an input IP3 of +19 dBm.
