Downconverter RFICs are Ideal for High Density Applications

High Integration and High Linearity for Cellular/3G and WiMAX/LTE/4G Infrastructure

 Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced two new Dual Channel Downconverter RFICs which are ideal for Cellular/3G and WiMAX/LTE/4G wireless infrastructure applications from 700 to 2200 MHz.

The HMC682LP6CE and the HMC683LP6CE are High IP3, Dual Channel Downconverter RFICs which incorporate high dynamic range, double-balanced mixer cores, with integrated LO amplifiers and LO switches. These highly integrated downconverters are ideal for applications such as dual density receivers where reduced PCB area is required.

The HMC683LP6CE covers the 700 to 1000 MHz band, and delivers +23 dBm input IP3, 7.5 dB conversion gain and 16 dB LO to RF isolation. The HMC682LP6CE covers the 1700 to 2200 MHz band, and delivers +25 dBm input IP3, 6 dB conversion gain, and 25 dB LO to RF isolation. Both downconverters feature a wide IF bandwidth of 60 to 400 MHz, and both operate from a single +5V supply, making them ideal for compact transceiver applications in GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, WiBro and WiMAX/LTE.

The HMC682LP6CE and the HMC683LP6CE are housed in footprint compatible and RoHS compliant 40 lead 6x6 mm QFN SMT packages, and feature differential IF outputs which interface directly with IF SAW filters and analog to digital converters.

Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company's e-commerce site or via direct purchase order.
