For Immediate Release
Chelmsford, MA 06/16/2008 -
Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, today announced that it will introduce 11 new products, including one new leading performance product line at the 2008 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium and Exhibition. IMS 2008 will be held at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta, GA, June 17 -19, 2008. During the exhibition, these and other Hittite Microwave products will be on display. A live product demonstration area will showcase some of the Company's latest products, and a daily instrumentation product raffle will be held in our 20' x 30' corporate exhibit, booth #1345.
Enter to Win!
Visit our booth and enter to win an HMC-T2000 Synthesized Signal Generator. The HMC-T2000 is a compact signal generator which covers 700 MHz to 8 GHz, and is easily configured for laboratory and high volume testing environments. Several HMC-T2000 synthesizers will be put to work during the show in our live demonstration area. The daily raffle winner will be announced in our booth at 1:00 pm ET, during each day of the exhibition.
Live Product Demonstration Area
Hittite's booth will incorporate a live product demonstration area where engineers can interact with some of our latest products. Here are some of the products to be showcased in the live product demonstration area:
The HMC700LP4E is the first in a new PLL product line of integrated fractional-N synthesizers designed to cover a wide range of applications from 100 MHz to 8 GHz, particularly those sensitive to phase noise and signal jitter. This innovative fractional-N synthesizer features a 16-bit fractional divider, 24-bit delta-sigma modulator, 14-bit reference path divider, ultra low noise phase frequency detector (PFD), a precision controlled charge pump and extensive access to various modes of operation via a read/writable serial port.
The HMC673LC3C is a D-Type Flip Flop designed to support data transmission rates up to 13 Gbps, and clock rates up to 13 GHz. The HMC673LC3C supports both positive and negative edge triggering and inputs to the device may be either AC or DC coupled. The differential outputs may be either AC or DC coupled and propagation delay is typically 55 ps. The HMC673LC3C typically provides rise and fall times of 22/20 ps and less than 1 ps of jitter, while dissipating only 210 mW.
The HMC613LC4B is the industry's first Successive Detection Logarithmic Video Amplifier (SDLVA) in a 4x4 mm SMT package, and is ideally suited for EW/ELINT and radar systems. The HMC613LC4B operates from 0.1 to 20 GHz, provides 62 dB of logging range, and ±2 dB frequency flatness. This device processes RF pulses with amplitudes from -57 dBm to +5 dBm with 10 ns rise times and only 26 ns of recovery time. The HMC-C052 SDLVA will also be on display, and offers similar performance in a robust connectorized module.
Complete information will also be available on the following new products:
Low Noise Amplifiers
The HMC616LP3E is a GaAs MMIC Low Noise Amplifier that is ideal for Cellular/3G and LTE/WiMAX/4G basestation front-end receivers operating between 175 and 660 MHz. This fully matched MMIC amplifier delivers 0.5 dB noise figure, 24 dB gain and +37 dBm output IP3 from a single supply of +5V.
The HMC639ST89E is a High Linearity, Low Noise MMIC Gain Block Amplifier covering 0.2 to 4.0 GHz. This fully matched MMIC amplifier is powered from a single +5V supply, and can be used as either a PA pre-driver, a low noise amplifier, or a 50 Ohm cascadable gain block with up to +22 dBm output power.
Transimpedance Amplifiers
The HMC690 Transimpedance Amplifier (TIA) chip represents a new product category for Hittite. This feature-rich TIA is designed for use in SONET OC-192 / SDH STM-64, 10GbE and 10Gbps systems employing optical amplifiers. The HMC690 TIA operates from a single +3.3V supply and supports data rates up to 11.3 Gbps.
Power Detectors
The HMC614LP4E with IPWR measurement is the world's first integrated RMS power detector which is capable of simultaneously measuring the instantaneous power (envelope power) and the average true RMS power of any input RF input signal from 100 MHz to 3.9 GHz. The HMC614LP4E provides a differential input sensing range of 71 dB, and delivers ±1 dB detection accuracy with excellent temperature stability.
BiCMOS Mixers with LO Amplifiers
Three new high linearity mixers will be introduced which are ideal for cellular/3G and broadband/4G wireless applications from 700 to 2700 MHz. The HMC686LP4E, HMC687LP4E and HMC689LP4E are high dynamic range passive MMIC mixers with integrated LO amplifiers in footprint compatible 4x4 SMT QFN packages. With conversion loss as low as 7.5 dB and input IP3 of up to +35 dBm, these mixers are ideal for upconversion and downconversion in 3G & 4G GSM/CDMA/OFDM applications. The HMC686LP4E, HMC687LP4E and the HMC689LP4E operate from a single +5V supply and require only 0 dBm of LO drive.
Variable Gain Amplifiers
The HMC680LP4E is a digitally controlled Variable Gain Amplifier (DVGA) which operates from 30 to 400 MHz, and can be programmed to provide anywhere from 4 dB of attenuation to 19 dB of gain, in 1 dB steps. The HMC680LP4E is housed in a RoHS compliant 4x4 mm QFN leadless package and features a differential RF output which can interface directly with SAW filters and analog to digital converters.
Voltage Variable Attenuator Modules
The HMC-C053 is an absorptive Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA) module operating from DC to 20 GHz. The HMC-C053 features a single voltage attenuation control of 0 to -3V, and provides up to 30 dB of attenuation range.
