This innovative digital attenuator is an ideal choice for use in transceiver infrastructure, test and measurement or military radio systems where an accurate signal level control and consistent signal to noise ratio is paramount.

The HMC629LP4E is a 3 dB LSB GaAs MMIC 4-Bit digital attenuator that provides an extremely wide dynamic range of 45 dB and excellent input/output return loss of 17 dB. In addition to its low insertion loss of 2.5 dB, this versatile digital attenuator includes a dual mode control interface that accepts either a three wire serial input or a 4 bit parallel word. The CMOS/TLL compatible HMC629LP4E also features a user selectable power up state and a serial output port for cascading other Hittite serial controlled components. Capable of operating from a single +3V or +5V supply, this digital attenuator also achieves near DC operation making it suitable for a wide variety of RF and IF applications.

The HMC629LP4E is conveniently housed in a 4x4 mm RoHS compliant QFN leadless package, requires no external matching components and is specified for operation over -40°C to +85°C.
