CNIT La Defense, Paris – October 3 to 7, 2005

Chelmsford, MA 09/29/2005 -

Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, today announced it will introduce 26 new products at the European Microwave Week 2005. These 26 new products address each of the Company's target markets; Automotive, Broadband, Cellular Infrastructure, Fiber Optics, Microwave & Millimeterwave Communications, Military, Space and Test & Measurement. EuMW 2005 will be held at the CNIT La Defense Conference Centre in Paris, October 3-7, 2005. These and other Hittite Microwave products will be on display in the company's corporate exhibit, booth #805. Some of the featured products include:

The HMC559 and the HMC562 GaAs MMIC Distributed Amplifier die are internally matched to 50 Ohms, and are ideal for Test Equipment and Military EW / ECM / radar applications. The HMC559 Wideband Power Amplifier provides 14 dB gain, and +30 dBm Psat over DC to 20 GHz. The HMC562 provides 12 dB gain and +18 dBm of output P1dB while consuming only 96 mA from a +8V supply over 2 to 35 GHz.

The HMC-C009 is a Connectorized Passive I/Q MMIC Mixer Module which can be used as either an Image Reject Mixer or a Single Sideband Converter and offers 37 dB image rejection and 41 dB LO to RF isolation. The HMC-C014 and HMC-C015 Connectorized Passive Double-Balanced MMIC Mixer Modules cover 16 to 32 GHz and 24 to 38 GHz respectively and offer greater than 30 dB LO to RF isolations and +20 dBm input IP3.

The HMC451LC3 is a GaAs MMIC Medium Power Amplifier in a leadless RoHS compliant SMT package. Operating between 5 and 20 GHz, the amplifier provides 19 dB gain, +21 dBm saturated output power at 21% PAE from a +5.0 V supply. The 50 Ohm I/Os of the HMC451LC3 require no external matching making it an ideal linear gain block or LO driver for Hittite mixers.

The HMC486 is a high dynamic range GaAs MMIC 2 Watt Power Amplifier die optimized for Microwave Radio bands from 7 to 9 GHz. This 50 Ohm matched high power amplifier provides 26 dB gain, +34 dBm saturated power and +40 dBm output IP3. This die is also available in a 5 x 5 mm SMT RoHS compliant package as the HMC486.

The HMC448LC3B and HMC449LC3B are GaAs MMIC Active x2 Frequency Multipliers that provide +10 dBm typical output power from 19 to 25 GHz and 27 to 33 GHz respectively when driven by 0 dBm signals. These active multipliers are RoHS compliant and are ideal for use in LO multiplier chains due to their low additive SSB Phase Noise of -135 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset.

The HMC483MS8GE is a RoHS compliant, high dynamic range MMIC mixer with integrated LO amplifier covering 0.7 to 1.4 GHz. This mixer delivers high input IP3 of +35 dBm with only 0 dBm of LO drive. The wide DC to 350 MHz IF frequency response will also satisfy many Tx and Rx frequency plans. The HMC483MS8GE is pin for pin compatible with the HMC485MS8GE which is a 1.7 - 2.4 GHz mixer with integrated LO amplifier.

The HMC241LP3 is a non-reflective SP4T switch with integrated 2 line CMOS decoder in a RoHS compliant, 4x4 mm leadless QFN SMT package. Covering DC to 4.0 GHz, this switch offers 40 dB isolation and 0.7 dB insertion loss, and is ideal for applications in Cellular/3G, WiMAX and WiBro.

The HMC574MS8E & HMC595E are positive control GaAs MMIC SPDT switches for use in transmit/receive applications which require very low distortion at high incident power levels. These MMIC switches are especially suited for Cellular/3G, WiMAX & WiBro applications with only 0.25 dB loss, +39 dBm Input P0.1dB, and exceptional third order intercept performance of +65 dBm.

The HMC588LC4B Wideband Buffered Voltage Controlled Oscillator offers an output frequency tuning range of 8.0 to 12.5 GHz, with a high output power of +5dBm, and low SSB Phase Noise of -93 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset. The HMC588LC4B MMIC VCO operates from a single +5V supply and consumes only 53 mA of current and is offered in a RoHS compliant 4x4mm SMT package.

New from Hittite are five GaAs MMIC Digital Attenuators which offer resolution to 0.25 dB, excellent accuracy & linearity, TTL/CMOS control and RoHS compliance. The HMC539LP3E DC- 5.5GHz 5-bit Digital Attenuator offers the Industry's first ultra fine 0.25dB steps to 7.75dB along with +/- 0.1 dB state error and +50dBm IP3. The HMC540LP3E DC to 5.5 GHz 4-bit Digital Attenuator provides an attenuation range of 1 to 15 dB, and +50 dBm IP3. The HMC541LP3E DC to 5 GHz 1-bit Digital Attenuator provides a single attenuation step of 10 dB and +50dBm IP3. The HMC603MS10E and the HMC603QS16E are 0.5 dB LSB GaAs MMIC 5-bit Digital Attenuators covering 0.7 to 3.8 GHz. Both attenuators provide an attenuation range of 0.5 to 15.5 dB, with +48 dBm input IP3, and ±0.2 dB attenuation accuracy from 700 to 2200 MHz.

The following products utilize our new LH5 Leadless Hermetic SMT Package, which is ideal for high reliability space and military applications. The HMC441LH5 broadband 7 to 15.5 GHz GaAs MMIC Medium Power Amplifier provides 15 dB gain and +21.5 dBm of saturated power at 25% PAE. This 50 Ohm matched amplifier makes an ideal linear gain block or driver amplifier. The HMC141LH5 is a passive double-balanced mixer that can be used as an upconverter or downconverter from 7 to 14 GHz. This wideband mixer features LO to RF isolation of 35 dB and input IP3 of +20 dBm. The HMC424LH5 broadband DC - 13 GHz 6-bit GaAs IC Digital Attenuator offers an attenuation range of 0.5 steps to 31.5 dB and +32dBm IP3. The HMC344LH5 DC to 8 GHz Non-reflective GaAs MMIC SP4T switch offers 50 dB isolation, 1.8 dB insertion loss and includes an integrated 2 line decoder.
