Wideband DC to 20 GHz Amplifiers for Telecom, Test & Military Applications!

High Performance LNA and PA Distributed Amplifier MMICs Added

Chelmsford, MA 04/29/2004 -

 Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of two new wideband MMIC Low Noise and Power Amplifier die products which cover Test Equipment, Military ECM/EW, Fiber Optic and Microwave Radio/VSAT applications from DC to 20 GHz.

The HMC459, DC to 18 GHz, Wideband Power Amplifier (PA) and the HMC460, DC to 20 GHz, Wideband Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) complement Hittite's family of wideband GaAs PHEMT Distributed Amplifiers offering gain levels of 14 to 18 dB, noise figure as low as 2 dB, and P1dB output power levels ranging from +12 to +27 dBm across the product line.

The HMC459 Power Amplifier provides 17 dB of gain, +31.5 dBm output IP3, and +25 dBm of Output P1dB, while requiring 290 mA from a +8V supply. The HMC460 Low Noise Amplifier offers a midband noise figure and gain of 2.5 dB and 14 dB respectively, and an ultra flat gain response of ±1 dB from 1 MHz to 20 GHz. Both the HMC459 PA and the HMC460 LNA offer fully matched I/Os.
