A/D Converters EasySuite™

EasySuite™ is a set of software tools that enables evaluation of Hittite data converters. It works together with a Xilinx® Spartan-6 development kit loaded with the EasyStack™ firmware and a Hittite EasyBoard™ evaluation board. A EasyBoard™ evaluation board is available for each of the Hittite Data Converters. EasySuite™ controls the configuration of the ADC and support functions on the EasyBoard™. It manages the triggering of data capture in the field-programmable gate array (FPGA), retrieving the sample set, analyzing it by executing an fast Fourier transform (FFT), and calculationg performance parameters. EasySuite™ also includes EasyStack™ firmware for the FPGA that handles the ADC interface on the SP601 Evaluation Board.

With EasySuite™, you have complete control over the evaluation environment and can select operational modes, input and output configuration, sampling speed, FFT length and SPI parameters. You also have access to on-chip registers directly. The tools allow simple measurements of key signal parameters such as SNR, SNDR, SFDR, HD2 and HD3. You can also measure the power consumption of the ADC. Jumpers on the EasyBoard™ allow the measurement of current consumption for each power domain on the chip.

The firmware is contained in a .mcs file and is typically located in the C:Program FilesHittite Microwave CorpEasySuite directory after the installation of the EasySuite software.

A/D Converters EasyBoard™

The Hittite EasyBoard™ is the heart of the Analog Made Easy evaluation products. EasyBoard™ is available by itself or as a kit, packaged with the Xilinx® SP601 Evaluation Board.

A/D Converters EasyStack™

Xilinx® Software Screen

EasyBoard™ is delivered pre-loaded iwth the corresponding EasyStack™ firmware for either the 15xx, 11xx, or 10xx ADC products. If you wish to evaluate a product from a different family (and have the EasyBoard™), or are starting with your own Xilinx® SP601 development board, you will need to load the appropriate EasyStack™ firmware. To load the firmware you also need to have the Xilinx® ISE Design Suite installed. The firmware is contained in and .mcs file and is typically located in the C:Program FilesHittite Microwave CorpEasySuite directory after the installation of the EasySuite™ software.
